Last week, we visited the Technion for an Academic Day attended by all 11th-grade students from the Schwartz/Reisman Center for the Western Galilee in Akko.
The day opened with a fascinating lecture on astrophysics delivered by Dr. Efrat Sabach.
Students then toured a variety of research laboratories across different faculties, met researchers, and learned about the innovative work taking place at the Technion.
To conclude the day, we gathered at the Mehoudar Center for Inventors for an exciting and challenging hands-on Making workshop.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this Academic Day at the Technion:
The participating schools for their cooperation and support
Prof. Adi Nassar and Dr. Efrat Sabach for hosting us at the Faculty of Physics, for the inspiring lecture, and for their assistance in organizing the day
Prof. Avi Zadok for his help with coordination and planning
The professors and research lab hosts: Dr. Michael Kruger and Dr. Adi Goldner; Prof. Yaakov Kresik, Adi Haim, and Ron Grikshteyn; Prof. Ehud Bachar and Julia Salah-Natur; Mr. Jawad Suleiman; Mr. Ron Prager; Mr. Kobi Kochi – for their warm hospitality
Boaz Drori and the Mehoudar Center team for leading the workshop
The teachers and staff of the Schwartz/Reisman Center in Akko for their dedication throughout
And of course, to our wonderful students for their curiosity, engagement, and enthusiasm!
We invite you to explore the photos and experience the day with us.
