Schwartz\/Reisman Science Education Center \u2013 Rehovot<\/strong> is located within the Weizmann Institute of Science and serves as a regional center for advanced studies in Physics and Chemistry at the 5-unit matriculation level for students from Rehovot, Ness Ziona, and students of Lod Comprehensive High School (Municipal High School Lod).
The campus functions as an innovative learning environment that integrates academic instruction, laboratory experimentation, and technological hands-on practice, based on the belief that high-quality science education is cultivated through experience, curiosity, and active research.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Learning at the Arnon Campus is based on frontal instruction, demonstrations conducted by the pedagogical staff, and hands-on experimentation. Students learn to design experiments, collect data, analyze results, and draw conclusions\u2014just as practiced in the real world of scientific research.<\/p>

Among the campus\u2019s unique activities:<\/p>

  • Arnon Seminar<\/strong> \u2013 An enrichment framework for outstanding students, featuring project-based learning, exposure to cutting-edge topics in physics, and long-term research work.<\/p><\/li>

  • Research Physics Program<\/strong> \u2013 Experience with academic-level experiments, work with advanced equipment, and the development of independent scientific thinking.<\/p><\/li>

  • Gelfand FabLab<\/strong> \u2013 A makerspace equipped with 3D printing, laser cutting, and technological tools that enable students to transform scientific ideas into tangible products. Special workshops are held throughout the school year as part of the pedagogical curriculum.<\/p><\/li>

      Students of the center participate in delegations to leading research institutes in Europe, where they are exposed to researchers, laboratories, and some of the most advanced scientific infrastructures in the world.

      Within this framework, a collaboration is held with DESY \u2013 the German Research Center for Particle Physics and Materials Science, one of the world\u2019s leading institutions in the fields of accelerators and synchrotron radiation.

      These visits allow students to understand what research work looks like in practice, to become acquainted with cutting-edge technologies, and to see the connection between the material studied in the classroom and the global frontier of science.<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
