As part of the preparation for the student delegation traveling to the DESY Research Center in Hamburg, we are excited to offer a unique and intensive course in modern physics.
The course, designed to enrich participants’ knowledge in cutting-edge and fascinating fields, will cover topics such as elementary particles, general relativity, black holes, lasers, and more.
The course will take place over two days during Hanukkah vacation, followed by eight weekly afternoon sessions.

In April, a delegation of 23 students from the Schwartz/Reisman Science Education Center embarked on a five-day visit to the DESY campus in Hamburg.
The DESY campus is a renowned research hub, employing thousands of scientists across dozens of laboratories. During their visit, the students attended lectures by leading researchers, explored particle accelerators, and analyzed experimental results. They also conducted hands-on experiments in quantum mechanics and toured the XFEL – the most powerful laser in Europe.
