The Schwartz/Reisman Center for Science Education in SNRC was established in 2025 as a joint initiative of the Soreq Nuclear Research Center (SNRC) and the Yavne Municipality, in collaboration with the City of Yavne, during the 2025 academic year. The center is expected to serve additional nearby communities that will join the initiative in the future.
This year marks the launch of the center’s activities. While the planning, renovation, and infrastructure work at the Soreq campus are underway, classes are currently being held at the Schwartz/Reisman Rehovot Arnon Campus.
In the current academic year, 5 tenth-grade physics groups from four different schools in Yavne are participating in the program, with a total of 116 students. Approximately 50% of the physics students are female.
