When Physics Meets Dance – Magic Happens

We wondered what would happen when we combined physics, music, and dance under one roof – and we discovered real magic!

✨ That’s exactly what we experienced last Monday (February 24, 2025) at the “Science Between the Sounds” event, open to the public at the Schwartz/Reisman Center in Rishon LeZion.

🧪 During the event, Dr. Assaf Bar-Yosef demonstrated to the large audience how fundamental physics principles—center of mass, Newton’s laws, and angular momentum—allow dancers and athletes to push the limits of human ability.

💃🕺 The lecture was accompanied by the talented dance duo from the SWING IT dance school, Ron Dubrovinsky and Caspit Yishlach, who showcased how they apply the laws of physics on the dance floor.

🎵 To conclude the event, the “Magic Quartet”, featuring Tamar Sharak, Nimrod Talmon, Eyal Aharoni, and Eyal Briman, took the stage, lifting the diverse audience into an electrifying swing dance celebration.
