The Schwartz/Reisman Science Education Center in Rishon LeZion launched its activity in 2018, initially in the Arnon Campus at the Weizmann Institute. Since 2021, it is located in a three-story building with 18 classrooms, a spacious foyer, a 200-seat auditorium, three equipment and preparation rooms, and the Gelfand FabLab — a cutting-edge creative laboratory — located on the lower floor.
The expansive campus, constructed by the Rishon LeZion municipality, serves as a hub for all students pursuing 5 units of physics in the city’s high schools. The student body consists of 700 youths from eight schools in Rishon LeZion and Be’er Ya’akov.
Our teaching team comprises 16 teachers and three lab technicians, each with an advanced degree in physics and extensive research backgrounds. Additionally, our dedicated FabLab team and operations staff specialize in crafting scientific exhibits and demonstrations, ensuring that learning at the center is both captivating and enriching.
