The Schwartz/Reisman Science Education Center in Acre commenced operations at the onset of the 2023/24 academic year (September 2023), serving as an educational hub for the entire Western Galilee and Krayot regions.
Established through a partnership between the Schwartz/Reisman Foundation, Israel, and the Municipality of Acre, with backing from the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Development of the Negev and the Galilee, and the Ministry of Education, the center currently operates from a temporary campus within the Azrieli Center in Acre. It features three laboratory classrooms and essential infrastructure, with plans for relocation to a dedicated permanent facility in the coming years.
In 2015, the center welcomed students from diverse backgrounds, including secular and religious, Jewish and Arab, and a group of female students from the city of Nahariyya. The center’s student body comprises over 50% female students.
